Charla Prillaman, CPC, CPCO, CPMA, CPC-I, CCC, CEMC, has more than 30 years’ experience providing coding, compliance, and billing services to physician practices, the past ten years serving AAPC Services as regional vice president. Throughout her career, she has worked in a number of capacities including coding and compliance for billing companies, physician practice consultant for both mid-size and Big Four consulting firms, as well as many years directing a large team of auditors employed by a large healthcare system. Judy Wilson has been doing medical coding/billing for well over 38 years. Ms. Wilson was the Business Administrator for Anesthesia Specialists, a group of eleven cardiac anesthesiologists who practice at Sentara Heart Hospital for over 26 years. Ms. Wilson is now self-employed doing education training. Ms. Wilson has had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors of the AAPC-Chapter Associations from 2010- 2014 and served again from 2015 - 2017. She was the Chair of the Hardship Fund and had the honor of announcing it at the AAPC National Conference in Las Vegas in 2012. She is the chair of the AAPC CPPM Advisory Cofmmitte and serves on the National Advisory Board for American Academy of Billers for AMBA. I started my coding career at a rural pediatric practice working for only ten physicians. I now manage a group of fifteen specialty auditors at a large healthcare corporation. We are in charge of the quality of over three hundred specialty coders who support over 4,000 physicians at 2,000 sites of care. I received my undergraduate degree at Radford University and my master's degree at Northwestern University. I am currently working towards my Doctorate of Health Sciences at Radford University.

Marco Unzueta has 6 years of coding experience in both, inpatient and outpatient coding, billing, compliance and documentation. He is currently an inpatient/outpatient coder at El Paso Children's Hospital in Texas. He was the first coder to become CIC in El Paso. He is the former 2018-2019 AAPC President for the El Paso Chapter and has provided presentations in different schools throughout El Paso for Coding and Billing. Marco’s experience also consist of teaching at Southwest University for the CPC certification. Maria Angel, MD, is a first-year family medicine resident at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) in Gainesville, Ga. Her love of medicine began in high school when she spent a summer as a teen volunteer at NGMC. During residency, Angel has enjoyed forming bonds with the patients in her community and is interested in improving medication adherence among patients with chronic conditions.

She has over 30 years of experience in billing and practice management, most recently in the areas of family medicine and medical oncology. She is active in educating the physicians and staff in medical coding and compliance regulations.
Palmeter has been in the health care industry for decades and is board-certified in health care compliance. She is employed with the University of Florida Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. as the director of physician billing compliance where she provides professional direction and oversight to the Billing Compliance Program of the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville.
Pam Brooks is currently the Manager of Billing Compliance at MaineHealth, the largest health care organization in both Maine and Northern New England. She is responsible for the corporate auditing and compliance program, serving 9 hospitals and several other healthcare facilities. She has a BS in Adult Education and a Master's in Health Administration. She has served on both the BOD and NAB.
Peggy is a Sr. Education Specialist and an instructor for virtual CPC courses. She previously worked for AAPC ICD-10 Development and Training team and was Director of Audit Services. Before returning to AAPC, Peggy was employed by Oklahoma Sports and Orthopedic Institute as Revenue Integrity Auditor and Billing Manager. Peggy has more than 35 years in the healthcare industry starting as a medical assistant with experience in multiple specialties including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, General Practice, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Neurology. Her tenure includes 13 years as practice manager of a University facility.
Ms. Jimenez has over 26 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. She is a nationally recognized speaker and thought leader in the business of healthcare. She serves as a coding liaison to the AMA CPT® Editorial Panel. Over the past 12 years at AAPC she has held a variety of responsibilities including leading the development of certification exams and exam preparation materials, overseeing the operations for the exam, distance learning and education licensing program departments. As the SVP of product, she oversees all AAPC product lines.
Prior to joining the AAPC, she spent many years running billing and coding departments, audit services, provider education programs, and client services. At ConCorde Career Institute, she served as assistant academic dean, program director for the coding and medical assistant programs and director of graduate services. Stephanie Sjogren works as Manager, Medical Coding and Provider Reimbursement for an insurer. She also works with the payment integrity to ensure proper claims adjudication and to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse. Prior to joining ConnectiCare, she performed provider audits and education at a women's healthcare group. Sjogren has also worked with physicians and staff to integrate and use electronic health record systems effectively and to be compliant with CMS’ rule and regulations.
